Doc. Mgr. Anton Szomolányi, ArtD.,
cameraman and director
He works at the Faculty of Mass Media PEVŠ as the
head of the Department of Media Design. He graduated
from FAMU in Prague, Film and Television Camera
program. He has written 8 teaching and book
publications focusing on the cinematographic picture,
contributes to professional journals and lectures
abroad. In his filmography he has many original
documentaries, the realization of more than 80
commercials using high-end technology, on which he
worked as a producer, cinematographer, screenwriter.
As a cameraman, he also worked on large revue programs such as Golden
Nightingale, MISS, Aurel. He also works as a program designer and as a
methodologist has long been dedicated to non-professional creators.
Throughout his professional life, he has worked as an independent filmmaker at
home and abroad. In the 1990s, he devoted himself mainly to advertising, then to
the creation of his own original documentaries, staged dance performances
connected with film at the SĽUK Theater. As a university teacher in the position of
associate professor, he currently works at the Pan-European University.
He graduated from FAMU in Prague, Department of Film and Television Camera.
During the years 1985 - 1990 he worked for several companies: Art centrum
Praha - work on multi-visions, audio-visions and also on video clips for the
gramophone publishing house Supraphon. He worked at Slovak Television as an
external cameraman for documentary and fiction, and as a cameraman for Army
Film as part of his basic military service. In the years 1990 - 2002 he was a
freelance cameraman (collaboration with STV staffs, Short Film Prague, TV
Titograd - Yugoslavia, Art Center Prague, collaboration on feature films in
Germany, Austria and France). He has written 6 educational publications for
students of film and multimedia, camera and documentary production,
contributes to professional magazines and lectures abroad. In his filmography he
has many documentaries, the realization of more than 80 commercials using
high-end technology, on which he worked as a producer, cinematographer,
screenwriter, CD-ROM presentation, production of multimedia stage programs.
He also worked as a cameraman on large revue programs such as Golden
Nightingale, MISS, Aurel and the like.
Recently, these are mainly documentaries - The Story of a Cable Car, The History
of Skiing, Looking Behind the Mirror, Guests - Hauerland, In the Shadow under
Hindu Kush, directed by the film part of the multimedia theater performance
Pictures from Slovakia and Chorea Slovaca (SĽUK), Okinawa - Slovakia, road karate
and many others.
Maxim Melnyk
Born in Uzhhorod, Ukraine in 1982.
After working as a journalist in a
regional television studio, he began
studying film directing at the
Academy of Performing Arts in
Bratislava. Konrad Wolf continued
his studies at Babelsberg Film
University, where he specialized in
directing documentaries.
In 2020, he made his feature-length documentary "Schönborn",
which depicts rural life in Brandenburg and his native
Transcarpathia in Ukraine.

Mgr. Michal Vrbňák
He graduated from the Faculty of Education in
Nitra, then the Academy of Performing Arts in
Bratislava - Department of Editing.
He works as a film and television editor, has
worked for many years at Slovak Television as
an editor of art trailers, documentaries,
programs for children and young people and
professional journalism, and he also edits live
broadcasts.
He worked externally as an editor of
independent documentaries, as well as programs for Markíza and Joj
television, where he also participated in the creation of the format of the
most successful program Na Chalupe and was its long-term editor.
He has been involved in the amateur film scene since 2001, when he worked
as a methodologist for art, film and photography, later as a judge of amateur
competitions and a lecturer in film workshops focused on editing.
He is currently working on a project to digitize the national heritage at the
Slovak Film Institute and is working externally on editing and visual editing.
